What is Aternos?

Aternos is the world’s largest free Minecraft server host. We want to give you the opportunity to play with your friends on your own server for free.

For free? How does it work?

It works like most of the free offers on the internet. With advertisments. We place ads on our page. And with the money we get from these advertisments we pay the servers.

What is Aternos not?

Aternos is not a 24/7 host. Your server is only running as long as you need it and play on it. When you leave your server, it will be stopped automatically. But your server is saved and you can start it whenever you want to.

Can or do I even have to pay for more?

No. Aternos is contrary to all other free minecraft server hosts free for everyone. We want that every user is equal and has the same opportunities.

I can’t wait anymore, how do I start?

At the top on the right of our page you can find the usermenu. Your name shows up there, at the moment you are a welcome guest, and next to it you can see an arrow. When you click on it there appear some options including the sign-up. There you have to enter your username, your e-mail address and a password. We don’t need more information and don’t want more.
